Oh the irony. Basically the carnage in Iran all started because Iran funded and directed Hamas‘s attack on Israel in October 2023.
Now Iran, backed in a corner and without the possibility to hit military targets, is throwing a temper tantrum by launching missiles and drones against civilians in fellow Muslim nations like United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and even Turkey.
Its strange bedfellow, Hamas, issued a rebuke for its patron, the Iranian Regime.

Hamas “calls upon our brothers in Iran not to target neighboring countries,” the public statement reads.
This is a bit complicated but has to do with Islamic notions of the Caliphate and the infighting between Shia and Sunni Islam.
The sacred texts of Islam enshrine the notion of the Caliphate, one central command under of Allah of all Islamdom. You have the Umayyad caliphate, the Abbasid Caliphate and the Ottoman Caliphate, the last of which when it fell unleashed a wave of Westernization across Islamic countries as Muslims tried to process the end of 7th century culture.

Then the Muslim Brotherhood emerged. The disappearance of the Ottoman Caliphate defeated by the British in 1924, is NOT the triumph of Christianity over Islam; it is a punishment from Allah for unfaithfulness among Muslims. Reinstitute hardcore observance of sharia, and Allah will restore the Caliphate, they said.
Accordingly, there have been successive bids to prove the Muslim Brotherhood hypothesis Muammar Gaddafi tried to unify Muslim Africa under Libya, Saddam Hussein wanted to be the Big Boss from Iraq, Al-Qaeda wanted to show the way in Afghanistan, ISIS seized land in Syria and Iraq.

All these Sunni attempts failed.
The less numerous Shias could blame the “heresies” of Sunnism for their failures. Shi’ite Iran then, had to take the torch. They armed their Shi’ite proxies: Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, Shi’ites in Iraq.
Then went further: the armed Hamas, a Sunni organization. They crossed the line to patronize the “heretics” in the name of destroying a greater enemy, Israel, which Muslims insist has no place in the Middle East (despite archaeological evidence that shows Israel existed in its current location before Islam even existed).
Despite arming Hamas, helping Hamas, guiding Hamas, the terrorists from Iran are being scolded by terrorists from Gaza. جاحدون
Their sugar daddies have gone offline. There will be no more support for Hamas from the Quds Force in Iran, so Hamas has nothing to lose by moralizing against the Shi’ite sugar daddies. That way they can come off sounding moral and upright and Islamically superior.
