After falling at home and getting paralyzed him from the neck down, conservative radio host Dennis Prager is back, using his most deadly weapon to slay liberals, his voice.
“My voice is practically normal now, which is very exciting because I intend to go back on the radio,” he said in a recent PragerU video. “A number of doctors, independently of one another, have described the fact that I am talking as a miracle.”
In November 2023, he slipped and fell. He was rushed to the hospital. Doctors helped but also failed to give proper treatment, leading Prager to sue these health care facilities. His condition worsened instead of improving.
At this point, it’s a miracle that he has recovered.
“A number of doctors, independently of one another, have described the fact that I am talking as a miracle,” he says. “These are not religious people. So I am cognizant of how lucky I am to be able to speak.
“I remain paralyzed,” he adds. “The biggest work, in fact, virtually all the work that has been done has been to enable me to breathe better because the nerves to my diaphragm have been severely injured.”
Prager is the hero of the right. After decades of conservative radio, he launched PragerU short form videos in 2009 to promote Judeo-Christian values. He’s gotten 10B total views and resonates with people in 35.
He champions capitalism, nationalism and Western civilization while critiquing secularism, progressivism and “woke” culture. Of course, his “university” is NOT a university but counters the progressive ideas that are pumped out by universities.
Fans were frightened when they heard about his injury. Who would keep making videos to counter the far-Left?
Actually, PragerU is pretty much autonomous from its founder. They do videos without him all the time.
But his recovery – the recovery of his voice – has deeply moved PragerU personnel, who want to hurry and multiply his message, to get it out, since we are lucky he can still talk. He can’t do maybe as many videos as they want because now Prager spends a lot of time with doctor visits and rehabilitation.
Today, Dennis is promoting his recently released book, If There Is No God: The Battle Over Who Defines Good and Evil. His intellect remains unimpaired.
