Qatar is pouring $10s of billions into American universities and schools in a bid to influence America thinking and undermine democracy, a new report says.
The biggest recipient of Qatar Foundation funds is Cornell University, which received $10B, with fewer millions or billions going to Georgetown University (>$1B), Texas A&M ($1.3B) and Brown University. The money gives Qatar, eager to peddle its extremist Muslim Brotherhood ideals, a soft power influence to propagate student groups that teach hatred of Israel and Jews.
“The Muslim Brotherhood is a pro-Hamas organization determined to carry out its ‘civilization jihad‘ strategy with the goal of splintering Western society into terror cells,” says Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY).

Promoting pro-Hamas ideas are the Students for Justice in Palestine (on 350 campuses) and the Muslim Student Associations (on 600 campuses).
“A lot of young people at our best universities are coming out supporting Hamas,” said Dr. Charles Asher Small, executive director Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), which issued the report about Qatari donations.
“The royal family of Qatar has a bay’ah — a spiritual oath — to the Muslim Brotherhood, so they’re pumping in many, many billions of dollars into our universities, K-12 schools and cultural institutions, using influence and soft power to promote its ideology,” Asher added.
The report following money trails follows close on the heels of a related ISGAP report about how the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to conquer America by embedding “from within.”
Meanwhile, progressives — with their simplistic worldview that all people of color are the victims — pay no attention to stated goals of radicals, their checkered history, their disturbing scriptures and current trends in events.

While researchers uncovered about $20 billion coming from the oil-rich nation, researchers made clear that there were likely many more funds that they did not track down. Small thinks, when all gets accounted for, it will reach “at least $100 billion.”
Universities are free to receive funds, which benefit their programs and increase their prestige. The price may seem small (overlooking terrorism-adjacent activities) in comparison to the windfall of cash. But what’s at stake is an entire nation. Are our universities, seeking personal interest, willing to sell out America and its ideals?
“I think taking funds from entities, states or foundations or businesses that are diametrically opposed to democratic ideals, or ideals of liberal education, there should be safeguards not to take money because it has influence,” Small said.
“The Muslim Brotherhood is committed not only to destroying the state of Israel and murdering Jewish people around the world, they’re committed to the subjugation of women, the murder of gay people and the destruction of democracy,” he added.
On the world stage, Qatar is the ultimate fence-rider. It is a strategic ally with the United States and a negotiator for peace in the Middle East. At the same time, it welcomes Hamas leadership to live in luxury in its country, funds Hamas and allows radical clerics to preach on its airwaves.
Riding both sides of the fence was what Saudi Arabia did — until Osama bin Ladin orchestrated the 9/11 attacks against the Twin Towers of New York City. After that tragedy, Saudi stopped pussy-footing with Salafists and other extremists.
Saudi Arabia pivoted towards modernization and away from West-hating terrorism. The Saudis have zero patience for the Qataris.
