Israel is hated on American universities. It is hated in urban centers where progressives march. It is hated by celebrities, intellectuals and social media influencers.
But Israel is loved in Iran.
As Israeli bombs are falling left, right and center over Iran, the Iranians — who themselves are oppressed by the Islamist Shi’ite IRGC rulers — are cheering them on.
“Hit them, Israel,” on graffiti inside Iran says. “Iranians are behind you.”
“I’ve seen videos going viral on social media with young people throwing parties, literally as they watch the missiles coming down people on their balconies doing shots in celebration,” reports Lana Silk, CEO of Transform Iran.

Over the weekend, President Trump authorized the B-2 Stealth Bomber to drop GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator on uranium enrichment facilities hidden deep underground in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. On Day 61 of the 60 days Trump gave Iran to consider a deal to back out of its nuclear weapons program, Israel coordinated air strikes to neutralize Iran’s military capabilities to attack Israel.
Beginning with a Mossad base set up furtively inside Iran, Israel launched drones to destroy ballistic missiles and Iran’s air defenses. Then, Israel launched 200+ aircraft in five waves to systematically destroy military installations and assassinate IRGC generals and nuclear scientists.
Protestors in New York took to the streets to hate Israel. But the people of Iran — at risk of life — celebrated.
How has Israel located with precision all the generals and nuclear scientists? It has been with the help of the Iranian people. They collaborate with Israel. They are the reason the IRGC is losing.
Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, set up a website for any Iranian who wants to pledge loyalty to the incoming Crown Prince and work with Mossad. The IRGC responded by shutting down the nation’s internet (apparently the whole nation would collaborate with Mossad). Elon Must countered by switching on Starlink for anyone with his receivers to use freely.
And progressives see the IRGC as oppressed by Israel?
The Iranian people have much reason to hope Israel and the U.S. decapitate the Islamist regime that has oppressed them for years. Consider the following timeline of IRGC oppression:
- 1988 mass executions of political prisoners: Between July and December 1988, IRGC-aligned forces participated in nationwide executions of an estimated 2,800 to 30,000 prisoners, many denied due process and buried in mass graves
- 2009 Green Movement crackdown: During the disputed June 2009 presidential protests, IRGC and Basij militias shot into crowds, attacked universities, raided dorms, and arrested or killed numerous demonstrators.
- 2017–2018 economic protests: IRGC and intelligence agencies suppressed rising protests (e.g. in Mashhad), blocking social media, detaining students, and inflicting torture or deaths in custody—e.g., Sina Ghanbari and Saro Ghahremani.
- November 2019 “Fuel protests”: IRGC opened fire on civilians in over 100 cities; Amnesty estimated over 100 killed (government claimed five); protests subdued by lethal force.
- 2019–2020 protests: Nationwide demonstrations met with heavy machine guns and IRGC tanks, especially in Bandar‑e Mahshahr (40–100 deaths) & other towns, totaling at least 230 killed.
- November 2021 Saravan massacre: IRGC forces opened fire on local fuel truckers blocking a road in Sistan & Baluchestan—killing at least 10 people, including a 17‑year‑old.
- September 2022 Mahsa Amini protests: Widespread lethal repression—Human Rights Watch confirmed: At least hundreds dead across 13+ cities, including minors and women. IRGC and Basij fired assault rifles, shotguns, killing many injured demonstrators.
- Targeted executions of protesters:

- Mohsen Shekari (22) executed in Dec 2022—first protester judicially executed
- Majidreza Rahnavard executed days later—after a likely torture-impaired, closed trial
- Dozens more protestors remain under death sentence or have been executed for roles in the demonstrations .
- Transnational kidnappings and repression: IRGC-led operations abroad have abducted dissidents (e.g. Ruhollah Zam 2019, Jamshid Sharmahd 2020) without due process
And yet we get this in America:
