By Abdul Masih —
Iran is an equal opportunity oppressor.
Seen parading through the streets of Tehran, women in a jeep with a mounted military grade machine gun — the jeep is even painted pink for the women — so that now women dressed in chador and face covering can join the regime’s killing of women.
The last time people protested in Iran it was for a Kurdish woman who was beaten to death September 2022 for not wearing her hijab correctly. Tens of thousands of people streamed into the streets demanding an end to the repressive morality police for Mahsa Amini’s untimely death.
But apparently not all women are on board with fighting in favor of women? As sociologists have noted, women tend to be the gate-keepers of morality.
Even when the system of morality seems mysogynistic (women must cover themselves, can’t go out without a male guardian, can be married off as a teen by their fathers, are warned their chances of making it into Heaven are slimmer than for men), clinging to the system fosters a sense of security and well-being for some women.
Psychologist John Jost developed system justification theory, which suggests that people — including those disadvantaged by a system — often rationalize and defend it because:
- It provides psychological stability and predictability
- Challenging it creates anxiety and uncertainty
- Believing “this is how things should be” reduces cognitive dissonance
Norms about modesty, gender roles and authority can become part of identity. When beliefs are deeply socialized, they don’t feel imposed — they feel moral, even protective. Even an oppressive religious framework can provide a sense of community, belonging, dignity and spiritual meaning.
So man your guns, girls. It’s time to shoot down your sisters.

Ok, so psychology and sociology can explain some ways people explain and act.
But can someone explain these sacred scriptures from Islam:
- Sahih al-Bukhari 29 the prophet said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women…”
- Another hadith: “O women! Give charity, for I have seen that you form the majority of the people of Hell.’ They asked, ‘Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?’ He replied, ‘You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religious commitment than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.”
- Another hadith: “I looked at the Fire and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women.”
Since it seems so hard for women to earn their way into Paradise, maybe these women, by fulfilling what Allah “wants” them to do, are taking to patrolling the streets of Iran searching for infidels in a desperate attempt to make it into Heaven.
