She used to hate Christians. She gave them mean looks and even spat on the ground when she saw them.
Then Christians installed a water well in her village in Pakistan. Villagers used to have to walk two hours to fetch water.
“What kind of God do they believe in?” the hate-filled one day dared to ask a local Christian.
When told that the pastors and staff who dedicated the well (it costs $600) worshiped Jesus, she was taken aback.
“I am very surprised that your pastors came here from so far away and preached god’s word and gave out Bibles to the people and also got this well installed,” she confided.
When presented the message of sin, repentance and God’s love, she opened her heart and accepted the Lord Jesus.
“I have received the water from this well, but now I want to drink the water of life,” she says (as narrated by field worker). “I am thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ who gave me the promise of water of life.”
The man behind the wells in Pakistan is Arch Bonnema. They have installed more than 100. The wells make water available to people of all religions. In Pakistan there are Muslims and Hindus and a very few Christians.
