Hold your derision. IF Kanye West came back to Christ today (and that’s a big IF), it was undoubtedly his daughter North who challenged him.
“I simply got a FaceTime from my kids and I wanna save the world again…” tweeted the famous rapper who shortened his name to Ye. “I’m done with antisemitism. I love all people. God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused. I forgive those who caused me pain. Thank you God.”

Kanye West was more than a celebrity who converted to Christianity. He was a cultural revolution. When he came out as Christian in 2019 after a mental breakdown, he was celebrated with a wave of enthusiasm.
His kids rushed into the joy of their father (with North leading the way), but his wife, Kim Kardashian, who loves bad boys and goes viral via drama, wasn’t so enthused. When he dropped the Hennessy bottle for the Bible, she divorced him in 2022.
After his divorce, Kanye drifted from Christianity. In 2024, he called himself god. He spoke of starting a porn channel.
Just lately, he showed up to an interview in a black KKK outfit with pointy hat and all. After talking vile antisemitism for months, he dropped on X a song called “Heil Hitler.” Every scandal appeared more psychotic than the last.
But on Thursday, Kanye – who had been complaining about not being able to see his four kids – APPEARED to put an end to all the despicable dung.

Has his Bible-loving eldest daughter North become his North star?
“Dont trust nobody else except God,” North said on an interview conducted by her mom two years ago. She responded to the question: “One lesson you’ll never forget?”
“To trust God only,” she says.
The best day in her life? “One day in Italy,” North says. “It was like very chill just spending time with my siblings. That’s when I brought them close to God. There was like these devil statues there… I was like, what should we do? we gotta pray.
“So I taught Chi (Chicago) and Psalm how to pray,” she adds. “I taught Saint to pray. God really did his thing.”
CBN bemoaned how Christians jumped on the Kanye Christian ship only to see it sink a few years ago. It’s likely that most Christians will take a wait-and-see attitude with Kanye’s new repentance (if we can call it that).
One this is certain: We can pray for Kanye, and for all celebrities who come to Christ because the devil has a bigger target on their backs than most of us.
UPDATE May 23: Ye removed antisemitic lyrics from his newer songs. “Heil Hitler” was completely removed by Ye from all platforms.
