August was a bad month for Lefties in Australia.
Tens of thousands marched across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in support of the Palestinian State only to be exposed as being infiltrated (instigated? funded also?) by embedded Iranian extremists.

It did not look good for liberals Bob Carr (ex-foreign minister), Ed Husic (current MP), Clover Moore (Sydney’s mayor) and Julian Assange (wikileaks founder) to show up in photos right in front of a bearded man who held up a large photo of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
“The symbolism was grotesque,” observed Claire Lehmann of Quillette. “At the center of Australia’s largest pro-Palestinian demonstration in history stood the figurehead of the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism.”
Not only that, the black ISIS flag was freely flown at the march. Convicted Islamic State recruiter Youssef Uweinat waved the flag enthusiastically. He was only released from prison a year ago.
The message is clear: Lefties love ISIS and Iran.

Then something even more disturbing happened. On Aug. 28, the Australian government expelled Iran’s ambassador after linking Iran directly to the arson attack on the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne and a Jewish-owned restaurant (Lewis’ Continental Kitchen) in Sydney. Authorities found that Iran had recruited criminals, to whom they made crypto currency payments.
The Australian Parliament quickly designated the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.
How’s that posting on social media looking now, Bob Carr, with you in front of a picture of Ali Khamenei? Are you standing up for humanity and human rights? Carr claims he didn’t see the picture of Ali Khamenei when he posted it to social media.

The Islamic Republic of Iran provided Hamas with training, weapons and about $100M annually. They trained Hamas militants in how to use paragliders to sneak in undetected into Israel’s airspace and land on Israeli territory.
The IRGC also funded Hezbollah $700M to be its proxy in fighting Israel.
“Yet Western activists continue to romanticize the Palestinian cause in the simplest of binaries: It’s the oppressed against the oppressor,” Lehmann says. “It’s the colonized versus the colonizer.”
The fact that Iran kills internal dissidents and flogs women for showing their hair gets conveniently ignored. The fact that Hamas initiated the current Gaza War and continues to hold 50 hostages also gets ignored. Iran’s support of now-deposed Syrian dictator Assad gets swept under the rug.
What did Lefties think when Ali Khamenei congratulated pro-Palestinian protesters on college campuses in May of 2024? “You’re on the right side of history,” he tweeted on X. “You have now formed a branch of the Resistance Front and have begun an honorable struggle in the face of your government’s ruthless pressure – which openly supports Zionists.”

These were all the right words from the wrong person. They resonated with progressives. But progressives had to ignore what the guy saying them does in his own country and around the world. If the wrong guy tells you you’re on the right side, what does that mean?
Progressives don’t seem to grasp history or current events. Their overuse of emotional fallacy, from curated and redacted video clips purporting Israeli aggression, works until they get exposed. In August, they got exposed in Australia. They were inflamed and enraged at Israel; moments later, Iran gets revealed to be the problem, not Israel.

You might think that the pro-Iranian protesters embedded in a pro-Palestinian march is incidental. It is not. As gender professor at UC Berkeley Judith Butler said, the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas “was not a terrorist attack and it was not an antisemitic attack. It comes from a state of subjugation and against a violent state apparatus.” In previous communications, she has urged her many followers to view Hamas and Hezbollah as “progressives.”
Never mind that they make mince meat of gays, lesbians, trans, etc, they must be seen as holding the same values as progressives in America.
Meanwhile conservatives are left shaking their heads as to why Lefties are so in love with extremist Islam.
Since Iran was discovered funding the acts of antisemitic terrorism, one wonders: Are they also instigating and funding the pro-Palestinian marches?
