To get her older brother, a deaf and mute, healed, Brahman Neetu Dwivedi scheduled an appointment with Babaji who performed tantra mantra witchcraft to achieve healings, according to his YouTube videos.

“I brought with me 25,000 rupees (equivalent now $263 U.S.),” Neetu says on a dubbed video. “I had so much faith that my brother would get well that I mortgaged my gold chain saying I will take it because he is god and he will listen to me.”
She made the trip to Kanpur in February 2020, and though her testimony video doesn’t name the Babiji, details point to Karauli Sarkar Baba, who is now charging Hindus $2,650 U.S. for his miracles.
Neetu Dwivedi was a devoted Hindu who prayed up to three hours a day. When her aunt and uncle became Christian, Neetu challenged herself to prove that the Hindu pantheon was true and powerful.
She arrived at Kanpur and took up residence in the hotel across the street. Every day at 5:00 a.m. she woke up showered and went to the temple to perform a daily havan, the burning of such substances as ghee (clarified butter), grains, herbs and wood into the flames (a kit provided for 3,500 rupees each).

When she finally met Babaji, he interviewed her about he brother, mumbled about how old he was, pulled his ritual rod and moved it in a ritual way. And the ceremony was over. Come back every new moon to keep performing rituals, he said.
“Your brother will be fine,” he said.
Neetu was ashamed to face her family. She has traveled and spent all that money for nothing.
Still, she remained devoted to Hinduism. Another auntie who worked at an ashram had a plethora of books that Neetu wanted to read to know more about the divinity.
Another day, she was walking and talking on the phone with a friend when she saw a vision of a Bible in the sky. She read the golden letters on the black cover.
She was completely taken aback.
“Jesus Christ,” she said. She ordered a Bible in FlipKart.

At first, she didn’t understand a word as she read.
One day, her dad was drunk and insulted her.
“It was deeply hurt,” she says. “I was crying.
“When I had been crying for almost a half an hour, I suddenly remembered the Bible I had seen jeight to 10 days earlier,” she adds. “Could Jesus Christ be God?”
She prayed: “If you are the Master of the Universe, if you created the entire universe, give me a vision today. Please show me your presence today, right now, because my father has hurt me deeply… Come and hold me in your arms like a father.”
She lied down to sleep but woke up at 4:00 a.m. When she went back to sleep, she had a vision of a church full of people, Jesus was sitting there… It was so sacred… He came straight to me and extended his right hand to me… He took my hand and led me to the bench from which he had come.
“His entire body was radiating rays. He was so holy… He held me in his lap,” she says. “I cried so much. When God held me in his arms and embraced me like that, I didn’t want anything anymore. All these yearnings, all these years of searching, were fulfilled in Jesus.”
Today, Neetu is married and living her life for Jesus in Lucknow.
