“He had no heartbeat. He didn’t have anything. But within a couple of seconds, the power of
God woke him up.”
Sabrin began to lay hands on her Muslim dad who didn’t have a heartbeat. The Lord had
reminded her that the Holy Spirit lives in her and that she had to pray for her father to fight
death.
“He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world,” she remembered. “The same God, the same Jesus that rose Lazarus from the dead lives inside of me.”
Sabrin, a Christian born in a Muslim family (her dad is Palestinian and her mom, Mexican), was taking care of her dad in a hospital. He was
dehydrated and hadn’t eaten for two days.
“During this time the nurses allowed him to go to the washroom by himself,” she tells. “Though I did not
agree with it, I watched him like a hawk.”
They heard something fall on the ground inside the washroom.
“Are you okay?” the nurse asked outside the door.
“Go in and open the door,” Sabrin told the nurse.
He was lying on the floor. When all the nurses came rushing in, she started praying to Jesus Christ.
“Even though my dad is Muslim, and he does not want me to even speak the name of Jesus, I said to myself, ‘This is an emergency. This is an urgent matter,” she remembers. She began to pray and lay hands on her father.
“Suddenly there was a heartbeat. They called the rapid team. Everyone came in with their
machines. As soon as I saw that heartbeat, my dad looked at me and he says, ‘I’m OK. I’m
OK,” Sabrin recalls.
“As soon as I saw that heartbeat, I ran across the hall up and down and I said, ‘Jesus is Lord.
Jesus is Lord. Jesus is Lord.’”
It was an “extreme blood thinner” that led to the collapse, she says.
Later, her dad asked if someone was in the washroom with him. There was no one.
“As soon as I collapsed, someone caught me and set me perfectly right by the washroom,” he told Sabrin.
“At that moment, I knew God was working in his life. My dad has faith but not in the right
God, not in Jesus,” she says.
“The power of the Almighty God raised my father, my Muslim father, from the dead. He had no
heartbeat,” Sabrin says.
