From August to December, the U.S. massed military assets off the coast of Venezuela before it struck, so it should not come as a surprise to anyone that the the Greatest Military in the World is taking its time before making good on Trump’s promise to Iranian protesters that “help is on its way!”
President Trump is keeping communities quizzical about how and when he’ll end Iran’s bloodbath of an estimated 42,000 machine-gun killed and executed.
“That’s where Donald Trump is actually most comfortable having both allies and adversaries guessing what his next move is.,” says Benham Ben Taleblu director of Iran Program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Will the U.S. make an attempt at regime change? Will it defang Iran’s military capabilities — ballistic missiles and the not-completely-destroy nuclear weapons program? Will it decapitate the head of the snake, taking out Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei?

Talks are scheduled for Friday in Oman, and a proposal was floated for a non-aggression agreement that would table and limit Iran’s nuclear aspirations supposedly by Turkey, Egypt and Qatar. It would be a repeat of the 2015 Barak Obama deal that only kicks the can down the road, but it might garner support in the United Nations, the European Union and with China, hamstringing Trump’s ability to make a move.
Meanwhile, Iran seized two oil tankers and kidnapped 15 foreign nationals. After flying a drone at the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier on Feb. 3 (it was shot down), an IRGC vessel “chased off” (navigated reckless towards at high speed) a U.S. warship yesterday.
Public and secret executions continue to liquidate the thousands of protesters arrested by the regime.

In Washington, US. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent noted that “Iranian leadership are wiring money out of the country like crazy. That’s a good sign the rats are leaving the ship. They know the end may be near.”
The USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier strike group appears to be headed to join the USS Abraham Lincoln in a week or two.
