A North Carolina teacher who raped an underage girl was killed by a cellmate Oct. 5 at the Greene Correctional Institution..
Ernest Nichols, 60, a former Middle School teacher, was convicted of statutory rape in 2011 for the crime in Mecklenburg County. He was found dead on the floor beside his bunk, and cell mate Wilbert Baldwin, 41, was charged with his murder.
This is one the greatest ironies of our time: Woke liberals on the outside of jail advocate for compassion for p**dofiles and celebrate grown men dressed as trannies dancing sexually with little kids. Inside the jail, there’s no such similar confusion about right and wrong.
In many prisons today, isolation — once reserved to protect the prison population from the most dangerous criminals — now protects p**dofiles from the prison population.
The reason why is because many of the criminals got into crime because their minds got twisted when abused as a child.
The morality inside prison is very clear: Leave children alone or suffer the consequences. (Maybe our schools could learn a thing or two from jail.)
Baldwin is already serving a 20-year sentence for second-degree murder that happened in Richmond County back in 2007.
After raping the teen, Nichols was expected to be released in 2027. He didn’t make it out.
According to news reports, Nichols raped a teen several times during a six-month period, which started during the fall of 2008. A warrant said that Nichols told the girl to tell people that “she wanted” to have sex if she were asked about what happened.
Nichols was a physical education teacher at Ransom Middle School in north Charlotte. He worked at the school district for 14 years. The victims was not a student at the school. At the time of his arrest, Nichols was married with two children.
