AI makes reaching 600M possible

Daniel Maritz just increased his ministry by 600 million.

How did the online content creator do that? With AI, of course.

He’s dubbing his videos into Hindi, the most widespread language of India. HeyGen voice cloning translates (with modification from live ministry team members in India) and changes the mouthing of Daniel so that it appears to pronounce Hindi. It can even elongate or shorten segments if the Hindi equivalent takes more or less syllables than English.

Once AI and the Indian editors are done, the video looks as smooth as his videos in English.

Boom. Just reached 600M for Jesus.

“I can’t really speak Hindi, but through AI, I can,” says Daniel, who got serious about his Christianity in his early 20s when his brother died.” Around 600 million people speak Hindi. And of course many of them (most of them) have never heard clear, biblical teaching, in the Spirit, in truth and in love that can change lives. But now they can because of AI.“

India has 22 official languages, but nearly half of the 1.4B population speaks or understands Hindu.

Since 960M – almost 80% – of the population is Hindu, reaching them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a challenge.

In the old way of doing missions, the missionary would have to spend years learning Hindi before going to India. AI has done away with the obstacles.

For Christianity, AI and advances in technology realistically make possible the endgame of reaching the entire world for Christ.

Daniel has two main channels on YouTube: DLM Christian Lifestyle and DLM Christian Perspective, each with a million viewers. The new channel in Hindi is DLM Hindi. He plans to continue reaching the world, translating into Mandarin, Spanish, French and so on.

Daniel was born in Namibia and raised in South Africa. After his brother tragically died, he got serious about the Christianity his father raised him with.

“AI can be and will be used for evil, I believe also for the Antichrist,” Daniel says. “But it can also be used for good. And that’s what we want to do. If you are a truly reborn Christian, you have God’s Spirit in you. Then you would want other people to hear the gospel and to be saved because you love them because the love of the Father is in you for other people. You love them as you love yourself.
