At first, Trump was deporting undocumented residents with criminal records, such the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua or drug cartel operatives. Good riddance! We already have enough criminals here in America. We don’t need the world’s worst.

And also it was good that Trump shuts down the unaccompanied minors, 300,000 of which entered the U.S. under Biden, because this was a huge loophole helping criminal organizations do sex-trafficking of minors. The “sponsor” of the kid was his/her next contact for the prostitution ring.

But now ICE is raiding upstanding, hard-working immigrants on job sites. Since June, ICE has detained 59,000, with internal government data showing 47% lack a criminal record. From May to June, non-criminal arrests spiked 250%. Trump cackled about “mass deportations” in his campaign, but probably most people never thought it he would carry it out. In his zeal to please a weird and racist segment of supporters who talk about “cultural preservation,” Trump has set goals of 3,000 arrests daily.

Actually, America is fortunate to get Latino immigrants. Europe, by contrast, is getting Muslim immigrants, many of who espouse radical Islamist ideas. They want to take over and impose sharia. They persecute Jews. They justifying raping women who do not cover from head to toe. They form militant organizations and resist integration.

The Latino is just looking for an economic opportunity. He wishes to be a part of our great society, not the destroyer and replacer of it. America’s birthrate is currently below (1.62 births per woman) population replacement levels (2.1 is considered the adequate to avoid current population levels). To avoid the economic disaster coming on China, South Korea and Japan (where the young workforce can no longer support the retired workforce). we shouldn’t be unhappy about the hard-working new future citizens.

I’m not saying to open the floodgates of mass and chaotic immigration. What I’m saying is that upstanding, tax-contributing, economy-building immigrants who have been in our country for years should be offered a path to citizenship. This is what Ronald Reagan did. This is what Trump should do.

If “cultural preservation” is the concern, then I wish to say that Biblical Christian culture embraces and cares for the poor, the orphan, the widow and the resident alien.

The Lord protects resident aliens and helps the fatherless and the widow, Psalm 146:9 says.

You are also to love the resident alien, since you were resident aliens in the land of Egypt, Deut. 10:19 says.

Christian culture is race-less. It is based on a set of tenets of faith that any human being can adhere to. There is not Christian food, Christian sport, Christian style of dress, Christian style of music. There is just honesty, work ethic, love for your neighbor, morality and that permeates every nation in the world.

It is a sad day in America when instead of fighting our enemies, we fight ourselves. As Joe Rogan said, “There’s two things that are insane. One is the targeting of migrant workers — just construction workers, just gardeners. Like, really?”

The brown brother is also our brother.
