An Afghan man was arrested for raping an 11-year-old girl in Germany in June. He was deemed not a risk to repeat the crime and was released from custody after 12 days. Five weeks later, he was re-arrested for raping a 13-year-old.
Germany, and most of Europe, doesn’t get it. The Left goes soft on crime and hard on multiculturalism. The Right goes hard against immigration. Nobody is understanding the explosion of sex crimes.
It is not immigration that this the problem. It is Islam. Neither side has taken a hard look at what the Qur’an and the hadiths actually say about the treatment of women. It is a question of belief, not race.
The hadiths allow for a man to marry 9-year-old girls. The provisions for sex slaves out of war is contextualized to mean non-Muslims in Western societies even when war is not going on. Men interpret the Qur’an that if you don’t keep the head-to-toe covering mandate for women, you are free game to abuse — and it’s only amplified if you’re not a Muslim.
Not every Muslim believes this, but enough do to create a problem.
Zubyr S., 23, was first arrested in June but released less than two weeks later after authorities claimed there was no evidence he was likely to re-offend. Prosecutor Boerge Klepping told the media that the two alleged rapes in Dortmund were ‘similar incidents’.
Such disturbing incidents are not unique to Germany. In 2015, Sarah Champion, Labour MP for Rotherham, said “hundreds of thousands” — possibly “up to a million” — girls were groomed by gangs, many of whom were Muslim immigrants. A national inquiry is underway, scheduled to be completed in three years.
Zubry S. will be deported, if found guilty as charged, back to Afghanistan. But one wonders why he was released so easily.
‘”You need an urgent suspicion and you need a reason to keep someone in custody,” prosecutor Volker Schmerfeld-Tophof said. “For a risk of re-offending, you need specific circumstances which were absolutely not the case here.”

Prosecutors claim that there were ‘doubts’ about the evidence of the alleged 11-year-old victim when the hearing took place.
Joachim Stamp, the minister in charge of refugees and integration in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, called for the suspect to be deported if found guilty. “This repulsive criminal must not only be convicted, but also deported straight back to Afghanistan after his imprisonment,” he said.

The anti-immigrant AfD party has called the case a “judicial scandal” and pointed the finger at Angela Merkel’s open-door refugee policy.
