A pastor on a motorcycle with his son traveling to Sunday morning service in Nigeria was gunned down by Fulani Muslims Sept. 20, just hours after five Christians were killed as they left a market just five miles away in Plateau State.
“The first thing that came to my mind was the time has come for me to pay the price,” said Christian reporter Masara Kim who was shot at when he reported to the scene.
“Just like Jesus did, I am way overqualified to die. Jesus completed his mission on earth at the age of 33 and I am approaching my 40s,” adds Kim, who works for Truth Nigeria to cover the ongoing genocide against Christians.
Kim filmed himself fleeing a bullets were fired by the Fulani tribesmen, who want to expel Christians from Plateau State and set up a caliphate.
Pastor Samuel Nandi from the Maraban Kantoma/Dorowa Babuje area was killed, and his son was left for dead but is still alive in critical condition in a local hospital. Truth Nigeria reports that a Baptist church employee also on motorcycle was killed too.
At least 27 people have been killed in a series of attacks across Plateau State in the week prior to the pastor’s murder.
