President Trump once again put pressure on the Federal Reserve, and on social media on Wednesday evening, he said central banks are “much better” to lower interest rates as tariffs come into effect. Comments to Truth Social came after the Fed maintained its prior forecast for two interest rate cuts at some point this year after it stabilized on Wednesday for its second meeting. However, what has changed for the central bank is due to inflation (higher) and low economic growth outlook, and Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said the reason for driving the change is uncertainty stemming from planning a…

Is “Overdiagnosis” Selected new culture war buzzword? I had been wondering about this for a while, but Wes Street claimed on Sunday that there was a “overdiagnosis” of some mental health conditions. Now I’m sure.I first noticed the term used in connection with anxiety and depression, then attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and more recently autism. Two books on overdiagnosis, Sami Timimi’s search for normality during Suzanne O’Sullivan’s “diagnosis” era, has attracted attention across the media, fueling new fires that “everyone has a label these days.”This does not mean that these authors and health professionals do not have any valid…

WINNIPEG – The Manitoba government on Wednesday signaled that the new budget would include new spending to support and create jobs for those affected by US tariffs. Finance Minister Adrien Sala said the NDP government remains committed to balancing its budget before the next election expected in 2027 and ending a series of deficits, but said spending is necessary to strengthen Manitoba’s economy. “We know that one of the most important things we can do to deal with this tariff threat is to ensure that by getting people to work, Manitoban will have access to good jobs and create opportunities…

By Abdul Masih – Daddy Yankee was at the height of his music career, having just injected “urban” flavor to the world record-busting Latin pop song “Despacito” – when he shocked his fan base by abruptly quitting to become a humble Christian. “It’s not the same thing to have a life of success and a life of purpose,” he says in Spanish. “For a long time, I tried to fill a hole in my heart that nobody could fill. I pretended to be happy, but something was missing. I toured the world, won prizes and applauses, but I realized it’s…
By Kaelyn Sollom – As a super-woke, transgender K-pop imitator in Korea, Oli London got love-bombed on social media. But then he found Christ, de-transitioned and began to advocate for Israel. The lavishing of love he got online turned sour: it became hate-bombing. “I kinda thought maybe I could change myself and I started undergoing different procedures to try and improve my image. Then I started struggling with identity and then thought maybe it’s because I’m trans?” Oli says on a Jewish News Syndicate TV video. “And I went through a number of years thinking and believing I was trans…
