Tessa Williams’s toxic boyfriend took her to a strip club. He wanted to fill her with jealousy. Instead, Tessa was fascinated by the beautiful and confident dancing girl named Sapphire. She wanted to be like her.

And that’s how Tessa Williams for 20 years became Contessa Doll, Australia’s BDSM queen, a sex-worker dominatrix who charged $800 an hour to whip, shackle and electric shock perverted men.
“At that time in my life, I’d achieved some success in the adult industry, had won some prestigious awards and was making a name for myself,” Tessa says. “But I found myself feeling empty inside and relied on prescription pills to get through everything. I felt vulnerable and lost.”
During the pandemic, she couldn’t see clients and took a break for sex work. The pain and loneliness of the harsh reality of her life permeated her soul. She contemplated suicide.
“I had some dark moments, and felt like putting an end to everything,” she says. “I decided to hang myself.”
Then she remembered a pastor who said you could repent at the last minute of your life and be forgiven and go to Heaven. So she got on her knees to pray, planning to take her life after.

“God I’m sorry that I’ve lived this life and I introduced other people to this lifestyle,” she prayed.
“Please forgive me for what I’m about to do.”
She stood up – and felt embraced.
“I felt peace. I felt like someone was hugging me just holding me saying everything’s going to be all right,” she remembers.
Tessa didn’t go through with her plan. Instead, she read the Book of Mark in the Bible. She read about Rahab, the prostitute. “There are prostitutes in the Bible?” she thought. “I thought they were all just pure virgins. That’s when I realized the answers everywhere are in the Bible.”
Tessa closed her Only Fans page. She announced on social media she was leaving the sex industry for good. She canceled her clients.
Eventually, she made her way to church, but she was scared the people would ask her about her past life. The moment came when Tessa told the female pastor. She was expecting rejection, but instead the pastor hugged her.
“You’re a child of God now,” she told Tessa. “You’re not those things now.”

And that’s how Tessa went from dressing like a sexy nun and spanking men’s bottoms with a big Bible to teaching the Bible in Sunday school.
“I never heard anyone say my name so purely” as a child in Sunday school, she says.
Eventually she started outreaching in brothels to share her hope-filling testimony. When her testimony splashed around world news, she thought the church would put her out of children’s ministry, but Echo Church of Sydney backed her up.
“Those mothers in Sunday school stood up for me,” she says. “That’s when I realized the true meaning of Christianity. God turned it around for his glory.”
Tessa is a strict celibate, waiting for the man of God who will partner with her in marriage. Tessa is also a nurse now.
