The Trump administration has trashed woke nonsense. Churches are no longer being persecuted by the Judicial Department for ‘hate’ crimes, for political statements and for simply attending church as a “necessary service” during a pandemic. But now it’s spewing trash trying to praise itself.
“You know, we’re saving Christianity. We’re saving God. We’re saving the family unit. We’re saving this nation,” Eric Trump said on Benny Johnson’s podcast. “I mean, you know, DEI is out the window, Benny. You know, I mean, you no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell, all of this is dead.”
No, Eric. You’re not saving God. You can’t save God. Only God can save you. Maybe you didn’t mean it, but what you said is blasphemous. You’re placing yourself above God, as if he were in need of you.
This is the sort of delusional mania that megalomaniacs blather, and Trump has spat out his fair share of idiotic comments.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m a Trumper. But before and above ANY political proclivities comes 100% loyalty to God. So I’m crying foul.
Also, I’m saying: You’d better repent. Understand your rightful place. God can save you, if you submit to him. If you think you’re saving him, he doesn’t need saving. Communist China tried to quell God and even persuaded Billy Graham on his visit that there wasn’t a vestige left of the church. They covered up the truth: the underground church was having flaming revival.
The Roman Empire tried to eradicate the church. Couldn’t do it. Islam tries to eradicate it. Won’t happen. Romania thought to torture Christianity out of Pastor Richard Wurmbrand. It didn’t work.
Trump has done a lot of good for America and the world. He and his crew don’t need to indulge in delusions of grandeur. Their record speaks for itself.
It’s statements like this that make people question Trump’s faith. If he truly saved? Does he have a relationship with God? Or is he just a political opportunist exploiting and previously ignored voter base?
You’d better be careful. Nebuchadnezzar was reduced to the insanity of an animal for years because of his self-aggrandizing pomposity.
