A program to integrate Muslim refugees into Dutch society by pairing 125 immigrants in student house with 125 students has devolved into years of violence and rape.
The Stek Oost complex in the Watergraafsmeer district of Amsterdam sounded like the perfect plan: a buddy plan to help migrants adapt to life in the Netherlands.
But organizers failed to comprehend the mindset of migrants who are born in a different culture with a different religion. The results? sexual assaults, harassment, violence, stalking and even claimed a gang rape had taken place, a Dutch television program called Zembla showed.
A woman, identified only as Amanda, was initially enthusiastic to help. A Syrian young man seemed initially friendly. “He wanted to learn Dutch, to get an education. I wanted to help him,” Amanda said on Zembla.
He ended up raping her in 2019, she says. But it wasn’t until in March 2022 that he was arrested, evicted and convicted of raping Amanda and another resident. He got off with only three years in prison in 2024.
One woman said she would regularly see “fights in the hallway and then again in the shared living room.”
A man said a refugee threatened him with an 8-inch kitchen knife.
Despite reports filed by the Dutch students, authorities did nothing, they claim.
How can this be happening? Westerners have a Christian-derived heritage that values women and grants them equal value.
In Islam, women are inferior. Also, Westerners have mentally distanced themselves from their history. Muslims have not; their outlook on the world is steeped in the sacred stories of conquest, pillage, plunder from the beginnings on Muslim advance.
Here are the different views of too many Muslims:
- Women who do not cover themselves, or go out accompanied by a male guardian, are asking for it.
- Women who are not Muslim can be taken advantage of.
- Men cannot be expected to control their sexual urges.
- Violence and rape is a part of Muslim conquest; many Muslim immigrants feel it is their imminent destiny to conquer the West and impose sharia law.
- Rape is more forgivable than missing prayer.
Meanwhile, the Western secular views as such:
- Our sense of right and wrong is not Christian-derived but humanity derived.
- No religion is right; therefore they are all equal, useless and can be disregarded.
- Whites have no right to judge other cultures since whites have done so much compounded wrongs against people of color through Colonialism.
- Immigrants are human beings with same conscience as Westerners.
- Paying attention to empirical evidence about cultural/religious differences is Islamophobia.
This is why the Great Society Integration Experiment of the globalist elites is a colossal failure.
“You see unacceptable behavior, and people get scared,” said Carolien de Heer, chair of the East district of Amsterdam, where Stek Oost is located, “But legally, that’s often not enough to remove someone (immigrants) from their home or impose mandatory care. You keep running into the same obstacles.”
Mariëlle Foppen, who works for Stadgenoot, the firm that runs the project, despaired of repeated failures: “We were completely overwhelmed. We no longer wanted to be responsible for the safety of the complex. It was just too intense. As the manager of these colleagues, I would say ‘If I can’t guarantee their safety, I’m going to have a really bad night’s sleep.”‘
Despite the eruption of problems, the program won’t be shut down until the contract expires in 2028.
