Christian rapper gets loud about Jesus at Rolling Loud

In yet another sign of revival in America, Christian rapper Miles Minnick pulled an altar call at Rolling Loud, the largest hip hop festival in the world that in previous editions has seen upside-down crosses, drug use, injuries in the mosh pit.

“One thing I love about God y’all, God is real,” Minnick told them. “I know God is real cause when my car got shot up with five people in it, no one got hit. I know God is real cause when I got fired from my job, I didn’t fall down.”

The rising star of Christian Hip Hop didn’t hesitate to raise Jesus’s star to thousands of secular rap fanatics at the March 15 festival in Inglewood, CA. He was the first Christian solo act to grace the festival’s stage.

Instead of getting booed, there were positive comments: “This is refreshing. We need more artists like this. We got to bring God into this industry.”

Two years earlier, Minnick predicted he would one day perform for Rolling Loud. In a song called “Sober,” he rapped, “I’m not going to tone it down and mess around. I’ll pull and altar call at Rolling Loud.”

So that’s what he did. Organizers were cool with it. Thousands saw it, and it’s getting posted on social media.

Elsewhere, young men are turning to church, reversing years of decline for church attendance. Celebrities, scientists and tech titans are turning to Jesus. After years of atheists predicting Christianity’s total demise, the tide is coming back in.

The profane and ungodly rap world is letting in the light.

“The eyes of the secular are turning to the sacred,” Minnick says. “We have to show them the love of God.”
